We're still buried in snow, with more on the way!

I do not envy you!

So are we, but I'm not bitter.

Neither am I. It's been great to have normal winter weather instead of the strangely warm winters we've been getting for the past few years.

What we think we ought to expect has changed so much! It’s been around 70°F here for the last week, and that wasn’t normal. Maybe it is now.

Gorgeous. I envy you, all this beauty, your love of the outside.

It’s not perfect, not paradise, but it’s nature, and it’s ours :)

It's coming. Autumn is my favorite season but spring is a very close second!

Jane Dougherty's avatar

I’d always rather have spring. It’s a time of looking forward, babies, growing things.

Thanks for the glimpse of Spring! Seems a long way away at this point. But I heard lots of birds in the park today even though it's covered with a foot of snow. Could not locate the cardinal calling, but the blue jay was happy to watch me from his branch.

It’s shirt-sleeve warm here, and everything is in flower, but it’s not normal. What is these days though?

Kerfe's avatar

Yes I think normal has lost all meaning.

Like so much, it’s become whatever you fancy.

You are so lucky to have hoopoes - I just love their flight. So very pretty and a little like jazz hands. xx

Jane Dougherty's avatar

They make me think of tiger moths in flight. And that tremendous cockatoo crest!

Stunning, Jane. I'm jealous!

It’s a lovely little place, and so much going on in it!
